Welcome to our Maine Coon website. Our life with Maine Coons started in 1999 when our old Persian neuter died, and we were looking for a new friend for our Household cat, Bast. We wanted to try another breed and attended different shows to do some research. The minute we had this big heavy male in our hands, there was no way back, and a few months later our first Maine Coon kitten entered our house.
And as you might know, one Maine Coon is never enough. They simply conquer your heart with their loving temper, and the general health condition for the breed appealed to us. Our cattery name Tornbjerg was registered in 2001and later that year our first litter of kittens were born.
We live app. 8 km outside of Vejle, Jutland, in a little country seat where we besides the cats have horses, donkeyes and two dogs.
Our cats have acces to every room in the house including the bedroom, where we share the bed after the device:”There is always room enough for one more with fur and paws!” Allthough it does get a little crowded when all the cats enters the bed at one time.
